Our club charity of the year, Stepping Stones Luton, is currently participating in the Big Give’s Small Charity Week campaign.
From Monday 23rd-Monday 30th June at 12 noon, donations to Stepping Stones will be match funded by the Big Give.
The charity said: "Our theme for the week and campaign title is Small Steps Big Impact, and we are demonstrating how we help women experiencing abuse to take small steps towards a more positive future.
"We’re particularly drawing attention to the work of Faith, our Mental Health Practitioner, who uses therapy and simple techniques to help women process years of trauma."
Here’s what the money could do:
£16 could provide emergency food and hygiene products for a woman fleeing her home
£26 could help us to run a community-based clinic offering support and advice to vulnerable women
£50 could pay for a trauma counselling session for a woman impacted by abuse.
As a small charity, Stepping Stones rely on donations to keep going. Giving this week will make double the difference for the vulnerable women and children that access their services. If you feel able to donate, the Big Give fundraising page can be found by clicking HERE.
Bedford Chamber of Commerce Award (main picture)
On Thursday 19th June, Stepping Stones was named Gold Winner for Service Excellence at the Bedford Chamber of Commerce SME Business Awards.
As regional winners we now go forward to the national finals held later in the year. The award is a testament to the outstanding commitment and dedication the team provide every day to our service users.
