The Ladies face one of their toughest tests of the season this Sunday when they host third-place London Bees at Barton.
The Town head into the game after back-to-back wins against Mansfield Town in the Women’s FA Cup last Sunday and Chesham United in the WNL Division One South East on Thursday, presenting the opportunity to win three consecutive matches for the first time this campaign.
Tasha Fensome’s hat-trick on Thursday night saw her score for the first time since returning to the club at the beginning of the 24/25 season rise to 40 in just 44 games.
The opposition
Dan McKimm’s Bees have enjoyed a positive start to the 2025/26 campaign. His side have won four, drawn one and lost two in their opening seven league fixtures, with their second loss of the season coming on Thursday night in a 2-1 defeat at home against Actonians.
The loss to Actonians ended an impressive five-game winning streak which included a 10-1 victory over Colchester United in the Women’s FA Cup.
The Bees have a perfect record on the road so far this season, winning all three of their away matches, scoring 11 and conceding just once.
Words from the Boss
Myles Maddix gave his thoughts ahead of Sunday’s clash: “We need to assess what has happened on Thursday, see who is feeling good, who isn’t feeling good.
“Our aim is to pick up as many points as possible, we’re back at home, we like playing at home and have a good record there.
“We’ll do the right preparations as a management team, as players, between now and Sunday and hopefully we’ll pick up some points.”
