We can confirm that goalkeeper Jack Walton has joined Preston North End on a permanent basis.

The 27-year-old departs Kenilworth Road having first signed from Barnsley in January 2023.

Jack provided key back-up to Ethan Horvath and James Shea in the latter half of our promotion season from the Championship in 2022/23.

The stopper then spent the past two seasons on loan with Scottish club Dundee United. Firstly, he helped them win promotion to the Scottish Premiership in 2023/24 before playing a major role in their fourth-place finish in Scotland’s top-flight, which qualified the Terrors for European football.
